Kapek Candles
About project: As part of my ongoing collaboration with Kapek Candles – a newly launched brand specializing in 100% handmade soy candles – I also lead the product photography for each new collection. The candles are crafted using high-quality soy wax imported from Sweden, and it was important for me to ensure that the visuals reflect their artisanal, natural character.
My work on the photo sessions includes:
Concept & visual strategy – For every new collection, I develop a tailored concept that fits the brand’s style and the seasonal feel of the candles. I define the overall mood, color palette, props, and background to create a cohesive story and support the brand’s aesthetic.
Styling & set design – I handle the entire arrangement of the scenes – from selecting props to composing each frame. I often use natural materials, fabrics, and daylight to emphasize the eco-conscious and handcrafted nature of the products.
Photography & post-production – I take care of the entire photo shoot process, including editing. I pay special attention to lighting, color consistency, and the final visual tone to make sure each photo aligns with the brand identity and feels polished yet authentic.
The goal behind each shoot is to present the candles in the most compelling way, showcasing their uniqueness and handmade quality, while encouraging customers to engage with and purchase the product. Each session is more than just taking photos – it’s about telling a story: of scent, mood, and the atmosphere each Kapek Candle brings to a space.
